Creating a National Pool of Trainers on Track – Second ‘Training of Trainers’ (ToT2) conducted

The Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) have conducted the second of seven ‘Training of Trainers&; from 11th to 15th January 2016.

25 participants from wastewater and drainage utilities, universities and institutes have been trained in ‘Training Course Design&; by Human Capacity Development expert Ms. Alexandra Pres. The aim of ToT2 was to enable the trainees to plan and design a training course themselves. Among other topics, the participants have collectively learned and practiced didactics, effective facilitation, preparing action plan,create a course design, defining learning objectives, content and methods of a course. The course focused on course preparation, and course creation. As a result, the participants presented their own course design. The learning atmosphere was very open, friendly and passionate, created through the joined efforts of all participants.

The next ToT on ‘Training Course Design&; will take place from 14 to 18 March 2016. The first four ToTs will be completed by July 2016 and then followed by three financial training workshops for sector professionals interested in teaching financial modules.
