August, 2015 –Inspired by the successful training in Ha Noi and the demand of the members, VWSA and DEVIWAS project organized 2 courses on “Finance Management and Enterprise Audit”. One took place on 14 and 15 August 2015 at Mien Tay Construction University in Vinh Long City with the participation of the members from Mekong delta and BIWASE. The other one occurred on 17 and 18 August 2015 for sewerage companies in Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai.
The two courses appeared to be a great attraction with the participation of nearly 80 attending directors, deputy directors, heads/deputies of department and accountants from 24 Southern water supply and sewerage companies. Dr. Le Quang Binh, Deputy Director of the State Audit Department, was the trainer of the two courses.
The courses focused on two themes; analysis of enterprise finance and appraisal, financial report auditing. The participants thoroughly discussed the basis of enterprise finance, cash-flow governance methods and investment project, analysis of enterprise finance, overviewof financial reportauditing, data collection survey and auditing financial report plan, auditing financial report implementation and report of auditing financial report. Finance and audit guidelines were updated.
At Binh Duong&;s course, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien, General Director of BIWASE,affirmed the value of the course to the improvement of capacity of financial management and enterprise audit. He expected to attend other similar courses, provided by VWSA and the DEVIWAS project, to boost the development of Vietnam&;s water sector.
