5th Congress of Southern Sewerage Branch – VWSA (for the period 2015 – 2017)

On 27/6/2015, Southern Sewerage Branch held the 5th Congress (2015 – 2017) at Ba Ria Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Development One Member Limited Company (BUSADCO) with the attendance of Mr. Cao Lai Quang, Chairman of VWSA.
  Southern Sewerage Branch has 58 members, including public services companies in the South. In the period 2012 – 2014, the Branch has organized many activities to support its members, such as giving comments on policies of the Government together with the VWSA, organizing and participating in specific workshops, exhibitions to improving the capacity of its members, strengthening scientific research and application, human resources development, social – culture activities, etc.      

Ba Ria Vung Tau Urban Sewerage and Development One Member Limited Company (BUSADCO), Ho Chi Minh Urban Water Sewerage and Drainage Companies, Hung Vuong Construction Company, Can Tho Sewerage and Drainage Company, etc. are some outstanding members in developing and applying advanced technologies.  Mien Tay Construction University was actively cooperated with water supply and sewerage companies to organize training course on human resources development.  

In the new period 2015 – 2017, targets of developing high quality human resources, applying advanced scientific research have been set out.  The Congress has elected 17 members into its Standing Committee. Mr. Hoang Duc Thao, Chairman of BUSADCO has been elected as the Chairman of the Branch.   Culture performance festival has been held to celebrate the Congress with the participation of 100 actors and actresses from southern water supplies and sewerages companies. This was an opportunity for companies in the water sector to learn from each other and strengthen collaboration. Outstanding performances from the festival will be selected to perform at the Festival of the VWSA in the time to come.
