Thai Nguyen is going to have a wastewater plant using French technology

On January 28 2015, a group led by Mr. Tran Quang Hung, Vice president and General secretary of VSWA, and Mr. Nguyen Dac Hoan, Manager of DEVIWAS, visited Thai Nguyen Water Supply Joint Stock Company. This activity is under DEVIWAS&;s action plan, promoting information sharing among the central office and local members.

 
The director, Mr. Dao Ngoc Tinh, and the management board warmly greeted the visitors. The group visited the on-going work, the Thai Nguyen Wastewater Treatment Olant, which is under the project Thai Nguyen Drainage System and Wastewater Treatment.

Contructed in 2014, the project was implemented under the Vietnamese-French Protocol from 1988 towards pollution reduction, environmental protection, flooding treatment in the central-north of Thai Nguyen City. It is planned to finish in 2016.

The wastewater plant is located in the central-north of Thai Nguyen City. It can serve 100,000 residents from 9 communes in an area of 1,200 ha. The total budget for this project reaches 950,498,000,000 dong, of which ODA of France contributes 412,080,000,000 dong.
