Workshop on initiatives for the water sector in Vietnam

On January 8 2015, a small-sized workshop with the participation of leaders of German Water Partnership (GWP), Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA), Vietnam Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises (VAFIE), Association of Small and Medium Enterprises in Southern Vietnam (ASMES) and Academy of Managers for Construction and Cities (AMC) sought for strengthened cooperation and networking as well as contributed to the proposal named “An effective and sustainable water use for enterprises in Vietnam”.

The project “An effective and sustainable water use for enterprises in Vietnam” encourages collaboration among relevant agencies in Vietnam. It will provide capacity training courses, expand cooperation networks, and apply appropriate technological solutions for effective water use and pollution reduction. By doing so, the partnership between GWP and Vietnamese partners (VWSA, VAFIE, etc.) is consolidated.

The proposal for the project “An effective and sustainable water use for enterprises in Vietnam” is written by Mr. Thomas Krause, a consultant of GWP. On this trip, he introduced the proposal to potential Vietnamese partners, but also sought for ideas before submitting it to EU by early 2015.
